The 2016 presidential election is a coin toss—and polls show that Ohio voters could be the key difference in making sure that an unqualified, racist misogynist never takes the oath of office. Your state's U.S. Senate race is also critical in the fight to take back the Senate for Democrats.1
MoveOn members are voting for Hillary Clinton for some of the same reasons Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama are—because she is the one candidate who can beat Donald Trump and protect and build upon President Obama's legacy on everything from climate to health care. Trump, on the other hand, will destroy it.
Hillary will fight to build an economy that works for everyone, not give tax cuts to the wealthiest few and to giant corporations. She supports overturning Citizens United and finally getting big money out of politics. She knows that climate change is a real crisis, not a myth. And, with Hillary Clinton as president, we'll have the first liberal Supreme Court majority in decades. The alternative—Donald Trump's presidency, fueled by his hateful, divisive politics and white supremacist backers, and characterized by his bullying, erratic temperament—would be a disaster.
Our key to winning both the presidency and the Senate is making sure we get out the progressive vote. Ohioans don't have to wait until November 8—the Buckeye State has early voting beginning on October 12.

In 2012, 45 million votes were cast early—an increase from 2008.2 And this year, there is a projection that 40% of Americans will vote early.3 That's right—nearly half of all voters will cast ballots before Election Day. If enough MoveOn members are among that 40%, we can all spend the days closer to November 8 focusing our resources on mobilizing voters who haven't yet committed to defeating Trump.
Voting early (and getting your friends and family to vote early) could help build real get-out-the-vote momentum in your community. Older voters, people of color, and young people have chosen overwhelmingly in past elections to cast a ballot early to make sure their votes are counted.4 And it's convenient. It often takes less time to vote early than to wait in line on Election Day, and early voting means that you can work voting around your schedule.

The next presidential debate is on Sunday, October 9th. This is our opportunity to make sure that immigration reform is on the agenda.
Did you watch the first presidential debate last week between Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? In the 90 minutes of back and forth between Clinton and Trump, there was NO substantial discussion about immigration reform. We were disappointed to see such an important issue ignored, and we cannot let that happen again at the second debate this Sunday.
