Subject: Dayton Daily News Op-Ed

In today's Dayton Daily News, my Op-Ed piece on how President Trump can try to fix the health care system by tackling this huge issue in delivering health care, instead of repealing the Affordable Care Act.

ttp://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/APA/Cox/sharedpages/SharedView.Page.aspx?sk=614E3F64&href=DDN%2F2017%2F02%2F01&page=9

You may have to increase the size of the page to read better, because DDN has a really strange way not to allow non-subscribers to access the articles in print.
Enjoy, and don't be shy to email back any comments.
As you may be aware, Doctors for America continues to fight hard to improve the Affordable Care Act and in the coming days, we may see a "replacement plan" from Congress surface and be certain that DFA along with other health reform experts will weigh in and analyze these ideas with a fine tooth comb.
Stay tuned, and there is no time to curl up in a fetal position

On December 14, 2012, an act of unbelievable madness took the lives of 20 innocent children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. These 26 deaths—described by one local resident as “pebbles thrown into a pond”—created ripples that captured the attention of the entire nation. Now, through a series of interviews with the people of this small New England town, the true stories of that tragic day and its aftermath come to light in this powerful drama that asks, “How does a community endure the ultimate test, and what comes after the cameras and noise leave?”

The Dayton Opera
Presents:

The Abduction from the Seraglio
A Dayton Opera Premiere and New Production

Mozart first conquered Vienna with his vivacious comedy The Abduction from the Seraglio, which features rollicking Turkish-flavored music, virtuosic solo singing, stupendous duets and ensembles, and the exotic setting of a Turkish harem. A freewheeling tale of two women purchased from pirates by the Pasha Selim and their eventual rescue by their lovers, the work’s style is strongly similar to that of The Magic Flute, with even more death-defyingly difficult acrobatic singing by both of the women and the Pasha’s servant, the comically lecherous bass Osmin.

With the help of their Spanish lovers, Belmonte and h

s servant Pedrillo, the imprisoned women nearly make their escape, aided by two ladders and copious amounts of spiked wine. They are captured nevertheless. Fortunately, Pasha Selim shows his magnanimity, and the opera jubilantly concludes in a burst of dazzling high spirits as the lovers praise their selfless benefactor and prepare to set sail. It’s a sparkling trip you’ll be glad you made!

Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Presents:

Chamber: Sound and Song (with Dayton Opera)
Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3:00pm
The Dayton Art Institute - Renaissance Auditorium
456 Belmonte Park North, Dayton 45405

The intimate sound of the voice accompanied by piano or by a small grouping of orchestral instruments is a central thread in the development of classical and popular music. When you couple the full range of the human voice with the beautiful sound of a few select instruments in perfect harmony, you have a magic that is unique in its own right. Sound and Song will explore selections from the repertory of chamber works that demonstrate this pairing to greatest effect. Vocalists from Dayton Opera’s Artists-in-Residence take center stage in the Dayton Art Institute Renaissance Theatre for this musical excursion.

Seating is general admission. To purchase Buy One – Get One FREE tickets for Passport-eligible performances, call Ticket Center Stage at 937-228-3630. Show your current Passport Card and photo identification when picking up tickets at the Ticket Center Stage box office or at the performance venue.
