As a U.S. Senator, I will always oppose efforts to increase the retirement age, cut benefits, and privatize Social Security. Instead, we must demand the Senate strengthen and expand Social Security - a program so crucial to the American dream.

My opponent Senator Rob Portman supports the privatization of Social Security. He wants to take the earned benefits that so many people rely on and hand them over to Wall Street. Senator Portman even favors raising the retirement age.

We need to protect Social Security from Rob Portman and his millionaire and billionaire Wall Street friends who would transform it into something less and break the promise we've made to our seniors.
