The President needs our help right now!

A group in the Koch Brothers’ network is going ALL-IN to prop up Republicans opposed to President Obama's Supreme Court nominee. We want to match their ad dollar-for-dollar... but we need your help!

Will you chip in $5 in the next minute??

Before even naming a nominee, President Obama has faced an unprecedented assault on the airwaves...from a dark money group affiliated with the Koch Brothers.

But we can’t just pack up and go home. We have to go on offense! That’s why End Citizens United just released our first ever T.V. ad campaign.

We’re calling on Republican Senators to STOP disrespecting the President’s authority and start doing their jobs. We believe getting this ad in front of the politicians’ constituents will force them to act.

Subject: Donald Drumpf

Like many, I’m done mincing words about Donald Drumpf — as comedian Jon Oliver hilariously renamed him this week. He’s a phony and a fraud. He’s a bigot and a dangerous racist. He’s a con artist who was swindled millions of people into thinking he is a successful business man, or worse, would be a successful president.

He may have fooled Republican primary voters into believing his persona, but we know who the real Donald Drumpf is — a dangerous man who would destroy America’s soul.

What this country needs is consistent and progressive leadership — like we’ve seen from President Barack Obama — that will continue to advance justice and equality. Going backward into a world where American policy priorities are dictated by the politics of fear would simply be unacceptable. It would undo all the progress we’ve made over the last eight years.

Your $10 contribution will send a powerful message that you want an advocate for justice and equality — not hate and bigotry — in Congress.

Donald Drumpf’s success in this election contradicts our country’s history of immigration, diversity, and love. I stand opposed to anyone who would lead this country into another era of darkness of division, and should you see fit to make a donation to our campaign today, you can rest assured knowing I will never stop fighting this bigoted message in Congress.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Recent research from Korn Ferry International and McKinsey and Co. confirms academic research that effective leaders of today excel in four areas: a global orientation (cross-cultural agility), ability to lead growth (find new markets in diverse consumers), can lead change (hire diverse and skilled talent) and can innovate (invites and executes on out-of the-box perspectives).

Inclusive leaders create multiplier effects on their workforces: improved team collaboration, higher performance and productivity (at time when productivity is falling, this is really important!), greater employee engagement, increased motivation, and creativity.

McKinsey’s study of 366 companies across North America and the UK found that companies in the top quartile for racial/ethnic diversity were 35% more likely to have above average financial performance in their respective industries. Other studies have shown more women in the board enhances financial performance. Companies in the bottom quartile actually lagged in their industries.

Who knew that you could address those skills challenges right here in Northeast Ohio? Cleveland State University can provide your organization with the Inclusive Leadership skills at a highly valuable rate. Contact me for more information today.

Subject: Re: Enjoy a Coke with the KKK

In the last 48 hours we saw exactly what Coca-Cola will be endorsing if they fund Donald Trump and the Republican National Convention (RNC). Trump’s campaign has started to give press passes to white supremacist media outlets.1 One of the hosts Trump gave press credentials to has said that "slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to" African-Americans. And at Trump’s Super Tuesday rally in Kentucky yesterday, a mob of Donald Trump supporters and known white supremacists attacked a Black female protester who was attempting to leave the rally.2 Trump’s supporters shoved and spat on her and called her “a n----- and a c--t.”3

Even with this latest round of Trump-inspired violence and promotion of white supremacists, Coca-Cola still hasn’t canceled their sponsorship of the the RNC.

Coke has built its global brand on the premise that 'Coke is for everyone.'4 But when their corporate dollars are used to fund a platform of violent hate, they are just as culpable as Trump is. They are helping to reinforce and amplify rhetoric that says that national citizenship and all its privileges are to be reserved exclusively for white people. That level of vitriol simply can't be negated with a Coke and a smile.

More than 65,000 ColorOfChange members have taken action in last 48 hours. Will you join them and call on Coca-Cola and other sponsoring companies to end their sponsorships of a Trump-led convention?

YES - I’ll demand Coca-Cola stop providing a platform for hate speech.

Coca-Cola is sponsoring Donald Trump!?

Donald Trump is all but certain to be the Republican presidential nominee this summer. And corporate sponsors like Coca-Cola are planning to fund his coronation at the Republican National Convention (RNC).

Even with Trump refusing to disavow the support of the Ku Klux Klan this weekend and declaring “All Lives Matter” at a rally, Coca-Cola still has not canceled their sponsorship of the RNC.5 6 How can Coca-Cola, a company that heavily markets to and profits from Black people, fund a platform for a presidential nominee that is being bolstered into office by former Grand Wizard David Duke, the KKK, and other white supremacists?

Coca-Cola is stuck pretending that their sponsorship won't provide a platform for Trump’s dehumanizing hate speech. But when corporate dollars are used to fund a platform for a demagogue who promotes a violently anti-Black message, that company is just as culpable as the person shouting.

Will you call on Coca-Cola and other sponsoring companies to end their sponsorships of a Trump-led convention?

YES - I’ll demand Coca-Cola stop providing a platform for hate speech.

Coca-Cola, like many of the companies sponsoring the RNC, claims to be a champion of diversity and has run multi-million dollar marketing campaigns to convince the public of that claim.7 If Coca-Cola wants to maintain its image as a diverse and inclusive company, then it can in no way fund a platform for Donald Trump.

Trump’s violent political rhetoric has very real consequences for Black people.8 His use of violent rhetoric, racially charged imagery, and paranoid conspiracy theories dehumanizes Black Americans and encourages hate crimes, white terrorist attacks, and daily violence against Black Americans. It’s even inspiring a rise in membership for white supremacist groups and causing a huge spike in the number of white terror militia groups.9 10 If Coca-Cola funds a Trump-led RNC, they will be funding all of Trump’s damaging messages.

Demand Coca-Cola stop providing a platform for hate speech.

In a letter to ColorOfChange, Coca-Cola executives said they have a “civic responsibility” to support a Trump-led RNC to “encourage more Americans to participate in the political process.” If Coca-Cola truly believes in corporate civic responsibility, than funding a platform for an anti-democratic demagogue preaching violently anti-Black, anti-Latino, anti-Muslim, and anti-women bigotry should be the last thing they would ever want to sponsor.

Coca-Cola and other RNC sponsors like Xerox, Adobe, Cisco, AT&T, and Google think their sponsorships are neutral but, they are not. These companies have a choice. They can either demonstrate real civic responsibility and stand against Donald Trump’s bigotry, or they can throw away their multi-million dollar diversity marketing campaigns.

Will you demand these companies stand against Donald Trump?

YES - I’ll demand Coca-Cola stop providing a platform for hate speech.

On Monday, the Sanders campaign posted a jaw-dropping $42 million fundraising total for the month of February—coming from impassioned small-dollar supporters in every state.

On Tuesday, Bernie Sanders won four more states—including the swing state of Colorado—and huge numbers of delegates across the country.

And polls show Bernie ahead or neck-and-neck in many of the key primary and caucus states coming over the next few weeks.

Millions of Americans—and countless MoveOn members who have been volunteering, donating, and showing up to vote—are "feeling the Bern."

You know who else is feeling the Bern? Gaby Hoffman, actress and star of the hit TV show "Transparent," who just made this video with MoveOn to share her feelings on Big Money, the Supreme Court, and Bernie Sanders.

Will you watch and share this video with your friends?

The Republican Party is doing everything in its power to prevent President Obama from appointing a new Supreme Court Justice. And throughout this primary season, we're reminded again and again how Republicans are representing the interests of corporations and billionaires. We need someone who will take on this rigged system and help Americans reclaim our democracy.

Watch and share this video from "Transparent" star Gabby Hoffman and MoveOn—and keep the campaign season flames "Berning" bright.

Want to support our work? We're going all out to help Bernie Sanders win the Democratic nomination. Polls across the country show that the race is close, so we really can win. But we can't do it without small-dollar donations from people like you. Click here to chip in

Donald Trump is a despicable racist who refuses to denounce David Duke, and we will devote all our energies to defeating him in November. But he has made one invaluable contribution by destroying all the rightwing myths about George W. Bush, especially that he "kept us safe" on 9/11.

That's why W. recently came out of hiding not only to save his brother Jeb (which failed miserably), but also to defend his disastrous record as President.

Clearly W's rare speech was important enough to be fact-checked by the corporate media, but they refused to offer any analysis or criticism of W, as they did throughout his wretched career.

But now, thanks to your support, we no longer have to depend on the corporate media. Now we can present our own response to W's lies on our rapidly-growing video network act.tv, as brilliantly created by Julianna Forlano.

I really hope you'll watch Julianna Forlano's excellent "Correction" to W's speech on Facebook, then "Like" the video and "Share" it with your friends.

Subject: Hate is winning the GOP. But this ain't new. (Supporter Update)

As you’ve likely already seen, it was another big night for Donald Trump, who cemented his frontrunner status and widened his path to the nomination with wins in seven out of the 11 Super Tuesday primary states.

Ted Cruz did what he needed to do to stay alive with wins in Oklahoma, Alaska, and his delegate-rich home state of Texas.

Marco Rubio, whose policy positions are just as dangerous as Trump’s or Cruz’s, and whose rhetoric is every bit as dishonest (perhaps even more so), has spent the past week trying to “out-Trump” Trump -- hurling childish “schoolyard” insults at Trump about his “spray tan,” his tiny, um... “hands,” and something not all that coherent about Trump wetting his pants at the last debate. It didn’t work.

Despite his best efforts to establish himself as the GOP’s anti-Trump alternative, Rubio only managed to win a single contest, Minnesota, and looking ahead to the next few primaries, he seems poised to suffer a stinging defeat by Trump in his home state of Florida.

With all of these candidates presumably staying in the race, the only big change is that Trump has confirmed what all the polls have consistently shown -- that he appears to be on a fast track to the Republican nomination. And, as scary as that is, it’s really not that surprising to anyone who has been watching Republican politics, not just during the Tea Party era, but dating back decades.

Trump’s campaign has been based on enflaming the currents of bigotry and intolerance that GOP leaders have exploited for years in more subtle ways. His views are indistinguishable from those that the party has long welcomed -- for instance, they’re the direct product of an anti-immigrant movement with close ties to white nationalism. Now he’s become the face of the Republican Party, embodying the irresponsible extremism that has come to define it. And he’s putting the GOP’s long insidious racism on full display.

Trump

It’s baffling to watch the condemnation by some other GOP leaders, like Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who, in response to Trump’s apparent hesitance to denounce white supremacist leader David Duke’s endorsement, said:

“If a person wants to be the nominee of the Republican Party, there can be no evasion and no games, they must reject any group or cause that is built on bigotry. This party does not prey on people's prejudices. We appeal to their highest ideals.”

Does he forget that his is the party of the Southern Strategy? Or of using homophobia and the “threat” of marriage equality as a banner issue to rally its base? Or of race-based voter suppression? Or that when David Duke himself ran for governor of Louisiana he ran as the Republican nominee?

Marco Rubio, for his part, acted downright aghast that someone who would be slow to denounce racism would try to run in the “party of Reagan.” Does HE forget that Ronald Reagan launched his own presidential campaign in Mississippi with a speech about “states’ rights” just outside of the town where civil rights workers James Earl Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner were killed in 1964? The speech is commonly regarded as a textbook example of the kind of “dog whistle” appeal to racists and neo-segregationists that later came to define the GOP’s Southern Strategy.

The chickens are finally coming home to roost, as they say. And we have to work hard to make sure that all Americans know exactly what kind of hate resides at the foundation of Republicans’ rhetoric and policies.

With your help, we’ll do that and more. We’ll continue to fight back against the GOP’s extremism and bigotry, we’ll defeat whichever extreme candidate earns the Republican nomination, and we’ll make sure that person doesn’t end up appointing the next Supreme Court justices.

But we’ll only do it with your continued and committed support. That’s why we are all so, so grateful for your activism, your understanding of the issues, your energy, your financial support, and all that you do.

Subject: Supreme Court justice sticks partisan foot in mouth

In a phenomenally inappropriately political statement, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito agreed with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that it's no big deal to prevent President Obama from filling the vacant seat left by Antonin Scalia's death.

It’s not surprising that Justice Alito, a conservative justice appointed by President George W. Bush, agrees with obstructionist conservatives. It is appalling however, for a sitting justice to insert himself into a political process.

The American public deserves a Supreme Court above partisan politics. We must have confidence that our highest court and ultimate arbiter of justice is not swayed by political ideology or undue influence.

Sign the petition: Stay in your lane, Alito. The sitting president chooses the justices. The Senate confirms. So keep your politicking to yourself.
