Subject: Help needed
I am a member of the Green County Indivisible Awake and Watching. We are one of the more than 7000 Indivisible groups in the country. We are the resistance group that tries to mobilize fellow Americans to resist the unjust agenda of the Trump Government. We organize meetings and we go to rallies to make sure our voices our heard on various issues including health care. Our activities include making and distributing flyers, posters and banners, renting meetings places etc. All these activities cost money and puts unfair financial burden on organizers.
For this reason I am inviting voluntary contributions in small amounts. Suggested amount $10 to $100. Please write your checks to Susan Alberter. Susan is the President of our Greene County Indivisible. We will really appreciate your help.
Please let me know. I can come to your house to pick up your donation. Or you can mail it to my house address:
176 Debs Dr. Beavercreek, OH 45434
Thank you for your help.

Subject: [DAWN] Hiroshima Day Demo
Hi friends of the Peace and Anti-War Movements,
We are convening this Sunday, August 6 at 1pm on the corner of Salem and Siebenthaler.
This will be in memorial for the United States' nuclear attacks on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 400,000 to 500,000 people killed either from the initial blasts or died of radiation poisoning. The United States is the only nation to have used atomic bombs.
Join us, as the countries of the United Nations have voted, and demand that the Earth be nuclear free.

Subject: Dayton Riverfront Master Plan
Dayton is embarking on an ambitious project to re-imagine our city and region's connections to our rivers — the Dayton Riverfront Master Plan. Over the next year, community partners engaged in the development of the plan – the City of Dayton, Five Rivers MetroParks, and the Miami Conservancy District along with the Downtown Dayton Partnership, Montgomery County, Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, and Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority – will be conducting outreach to involve the community in the process. As a leader in your neighborhood and the community, we would like to personally invite you and your constituents to participate. We hope that you will help us spread the word about the plan and opportunities to give feedback to your constituents and colleagues. The Plan will only be successful if we hear from the community and benefit from everyone's ideas!
The Dayton Riverfront Master Plan focuses on greater downtown's waterways and explores the tremendous potential our rivers have in enhancing vibrancy, livability, and economic vitality. The study area for this Riverfront Master Plan centers on downtown Dayton and extends along all four waterways: the Great Miami, Mad, and Stillwater rivers and the Wolf Creek.
The Dayton Riverfront Master Plan follows a year-long planning process to engage stakeholders to solicit comprehensive input through a variety of methods. We will be conducting public input sessions on Thursday August, 17 in the Community Room at the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch. The meetings will be an open house format and will run from 11:30 am -1:30 pm and 5:30 pm -7:30 pm. An interactive online survey will be available as well beginning August 4 at DaytonRiverfrontPlan.org to collect feedback for those who cannot attend the meetings.
On Saturday August, 19 members of the project design team will set up a table to collect feedback and raise awareness about the project at the 2nd Street Market in the morning and at the Dayton African American Cultural Festival at Island MetroPark in the afternoon Please forward this email to your neighborhood, and others you know who may be interested, and let us know if you would like further information and to stay informed about the plan by sending an email to drp@metroparks.org with "Add Me" in the subject line. Visit our webpage at http://www.DaytonRiverfrontPlan.org for complete information about the Riverfront Master Plan, for future updates about progress or to provide online feedback.

From:, Bruc Barcelo Subject: Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces and Family Fun Month
This is the ODH page on Smoke-free Outdoor Spaces. August is Family Fun Month, if you complete the survey below, you will be entered to win a $15 gift certificate to a zoo by sharing your favorite outdoor space!
Please share the survey!
Did you know that August is Family Fun Month? This is the time, right before school starts again, to make the most of your remaining summer days. There are many things families can do to celebrate Family Fun Month. The best way to celebrate is to visit Ohio's Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces!
Why are tobacco-free outdoor spaces important?
- They protect the community, nonsmokers, children and others, from the dangers of secondhand smoke. The U.S. Surgeon General has concluded that there is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke.1Even a small amount of secondhand smoke can expose nonsmokers to more than 7,000 toxic chemicals and compounds2 and can cause eye irritation, nausea, headaches and respiratory irritation that can lead to asthma attacks.3
- Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces reduce tobacco use. Smoke-free outdoor spaces provide a supportive environment for people who wish to stop smoking. Studies have found that adopting clean air policies encourages smokers to cut back or quit smoking.3
- It provides positive role-modeling to teens. When adults and other young adults do not smoke, the message is tobacco use is not the norm and that being tobacco free is important. Prohibiting tobacco use in outdoor places frequented by the public reduces the perception that tobacco use is a common, acceptable, and desirable adult behavior.4
- Preventing tobacco products in outdoor spaces reduces litter. Cigarette butts are the most littered item in world. In Ohio, cigarette butts account for 422 tons of litter annually.4 Non-biodegradable cigarette butts thrown on the ground are washed away into Ohio's streams, creeks, lakes and rivers where they leach toxins into the environment where they can poison aquatic life, birds and small mammals, as well as other toddlers and children who find them at parks and touch or pick them up out of curiosity.5
Now that you know the importance of Ohio's Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces, take your family out to enjoy the clean and safe environment this type of policy provides for all Ohioans. Some examples of outdoor spaces that have adopted Smoke-Free policies include parks, playgrounds, local swimming pools, sports fields and walking trails or sidewalks!
Go to our survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SFoutdoorspace to enter to win a $15 gift certificate to your local zoo by sharing your favorite outdoor spaces with us! Also, check out our map of Smoke-Free spaces in Ohio and place a sticker on all the cool places you've been. The map will be in the basement during the month of August. Get out and enjoy Ohio's Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces!
